Welcome to Peace Lutheran Church of Windsor - Ontario
What Is a Lutheran?

A Lutheran is a Christian who believes in God the Father, Creator or Maker; Jesus Christ the Son, Redeemer or Saviour; and the Holy Spirit, the Sanctified or Helper and guide in life.

We take our name from Martin Luther, a priest who lived in Germany from 1483-1546. He became the key figure in the period of history known as the Reformation.

Lutheran Believe

We Believe, Teach & Confess:
According to Holy Scripture, and in the unity of the one, holy Christian faith, we believe, teach, and confess that:

The one and only true God is the Triune God -Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - as revealed by Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of the Father, and His prophets, apostles, and evangelists in the Holy Scriptures (Mt. 28:20)

A Summary Of Lutheran Teaching

(The Numbers Following The Passages Are The Page Numbers In The Good News Bible 1984 edition)

WE LEARN OF GOD through our conscience and nature. There is a feeling within every man that tells him there is something or someone greater than himself. As man looks at life around him, most are led to believe that some force was responsible for creating the things we see. (Romans 1:20 202) (Romans 2:15 203) (Psalm 19:1 605)

What is Worship

One of the best summaries of worship is found in the Introduction to our hymnal, Lutheran Worship:

Our Lord speaks and we listen. His Word bestows what it says. Faith that is born from what is heard acknowledges the gifts received
